Mekong Delta Day Tour 

After getting on our fully air-conditioned and comfortable bus, we take a relaxing trip from the middle of Ho Chi Minh City through the various districts and areas of the city until we get outside to the scenic countryside. On the open road you'll get to see the rice padddies and farmland, as well as the jungle scenery and local villages until we arrive in Mỹ Tho. In this old-world city we transfer to a local motor boat to travel along the mighty Mekong (the longest river in Vietnam, and 12th longest in the world!). The ride takes you past the 4 islands named after animals from Buddhism teachings - Dragon, Phoenix, Turtle & Unicorn. You'll get to enjoy lunch on Phoenix Island, and see the villagers handicrafts made from local coconuts. We then take you to the famous Bến Tre Province to see Vietnam's rural life, and the beautiful scenery of this untouched area. Here you'll try local fruits fresh from the orhards while you are entertained with traditional music from the villagers. Then we move on to the local apiary to see how the bee-keepers collect their honey, and they'll even give you a taste of the traditional Vietnamese Honey Tea. Another quick boat ride takes you to the farms where locals produce the world famous Coconut Candies that everyone has to try at least once in their life. We then return to our comfortable bus for another relaxing trip back to the heart of the city.

Pick up from your hotel doorstep included if you are around the backpacker district, or we can organise a convenient pickup for only $5 extra. Otherwise, meet up at Pham Ngu Lao meeting spot.

At the end of the tour you are dropped back at Pham Ngu Lao, right near Bui Vien Street in the heart of the tourist area

We have the best cancellation policy in the business, and stand by it to support your holiday enjoyment. Simply let us know 3 days (72 hours) before your booking, and we will happliy transfer you to an alternate date at no extra charge or provide a full refund, whatever you prefer. If you cancel within 72 hours, we will still be able to refund 50% of your payment - the reason we cannot refund more at this point is we are extremely supportive of our tour friends, and provide a similar guarantee to them as they are often giving up other employment or study opportunities to be available. If you miss your tour, or are delayed due to flights or other transport, we are unable to provide a refund if we are not notified.
